Why claim your profile?

An unclaimed profile shows only what the public scrape found. Claiming it means you tell us what is wrong and we fix it: the phone number, address, website and hours, the category the company should be filed under, the areas it actually works in, and your ECRA/ESA licence number if you send it. It is an email, not an account.

Two things this page used to promise and should not have. No profile on this site publishes photographs at present, claimed or not, because the scraped images have not been reviewed. And it said claimed profiles turn more visits into calls, which this register has never measured: it publishes no call or conversion figures of any kind, so there was nothing behind the sentence.

Does a listing on Home Generator Index really cost nothing?

Yes. A listing is free, no company can buy a better position, and the order on every list comes from a published formula with no advertising slot anywhere on the site. What we are building on top of that is a paid route for work we pass on, which is a separate thing you would have to agree to; nothing is charged to you for simply being in the index.

Do you send me leads?

Not yet. The site now runs a request form, and what a homeowner sends reaches Home Generator Index by email. Nothing has been passed to any company from this site so far, and we will not start sending work to you without agreeing it with you first.

What does claiming my profile change?

You email us what is wrong and we correct it: phone, address, website, hours, the category you are filed under and the areas you work in. Send your ECRA/ESA licence number and we publish it with the wording you used. We do not publish photographs on any profile at present. Nothing else about the listing changes, and nothing about your position changes, because position comes from the formula and not from us.

Can I pay to rank higher on Home Generator Index?

No, and that is the point. Rankings come only from the published 0-100 score, built from reviews, what a company states on its own website and its record. There is no advertising, no sponsored slot and no paid tier, which is exactly why the list is worth being on.

Something on my profile is wrong. How does it get changed?

Email us and we will correct it. Profiles are built from public sources as of our August 2026 dataset and categories are assigned with automated tooling, so occasionally a phone number, a category or a service area is wrong. Claiming the profile is the fastest way to keep it accurate.

How do I get my business removed?

Email us from an address connected to the business, tell us the business name, and ask for removal. We take the listing down. We do not require a reason and we will not try to talk you out of it.
